A Czech NGO, Independent Social Ecological Movement - NESEHNUTI, and Georgian NGO Abkhazintercont are organizing a School of Activism in Kobuleti from September 24 to 29.
The focus of the School is advocacy campaigning in the fields of:- protection of the environment, climate, nature;
- public participation in the decision-making process (especially young people), free access to information;
- promotion of democratic values;
- equal opportunities for men and women, prevention of domestic violence;
- protection of human rights (including civil and social rights, rights of minorities, and low-income groups).
The participants will go through all the steps important in planning and leading advocacy campaigns (problem analysis, topic selection, goal setting, how to plan a campaign, mapping key players, target groups and how to work with them, working with the team and volunteers, working with the media, etc.).
A mini-grant competition will be included in the program. The three most successful campaign proposals will receive support in the sum of 500 EUR.
The organizers will cover all related expenditures (travel costs, accommodation, vegetarian food, etc.).
The working language of the event will be English.
