Visegrad-Ukraine Water Solutions Exchange
Led by NESEHNUTÍ Brno (CZ) with partners from Ukraine, Poland, Slovakia, and Hungary, this project strengthens the capacity of Ukrainian municipalities to manage water resources and wastewater more effectively. Focusing on the Kirovohrad region, where outdated infrastructure and environmental risks such as radon contamination and legacy uranium mining persist, the project offers practical peer-to-peer learning opportunities.
Key activities include preparatory meetings, a six-day study trip across the Visegrad countries, expert consultations, and the creation of two local action plans to improve access to clean water and wastewater treatment. By connecting Ukrainian municipal leaders and environmental professionals with proven solutions and networks from V4 countries, the project promotes sustainable, community-driven improvements and supports Ukraine’s progress toward European standards in environmental management.
