This initiative of Kherson-based university students decided to use the new School Management Act to have five local universities publish information about their economic activities on their websites as required by law.

An initial analysis of the university websites showed that Kherson’s universities publish only about 40% of the data required. The initiative organized a training series for students on how and why to submit requests for information to university leadership. The initiative also provided them with advice on how to formulate the requests and monitored the extent to which the universities responded and provided information in compliance with the law.

The student initiative managed to ensure that four of the five universities finally published all the information required by law.
