In Armenia and all over the Caucasus region, the domestic violence is still a big and not addressed issue. Only recently, discussions on need to adopt the relevant laws and help the victims of domestic violence were started by few non-profit organizations. The aim of the campaign performed by Women’s Resource Center Armenia is to promote the introduction of effective co-operation of non-state and state subjects in order to provide the most effective assistance and support to the victims of domestic violence. Thanks to the co-operation it would also be clear whom to approach and what is particular organization in charge of: non-profit organizations, the Ministry of Social Affairs and the Police. Another goal of this campaign is to involve the professionals (psychologists, lawyers) into this assistance and to introduce the system of reporting cases nationwide.
