This campaign responds to the growth of illegal dumping of municipal and construction waste in South Ossetia, particularly near the capital Tskhinval/i, even in places that were previously used for recreation. The aim of this activity is to map the scope and severity of the problem, present the monitored results to the public through information campaigns and subsequently to involve the city administration, responsible ministries, representatives and other responsible authorities into the project. The active group organizes cleaning events with the public involvement. This initiative wants to show, besides other things, that the problem of illegal dumping can be solved.
