BarCamp Kutaisi 2015 will be held from 14th to 16th March 2015 in city Kutaisi, Georgia.

The aim of the event is to:

  • discuss experience with planning and leading civic campaigns related to human rights, conflicts and prejudices, independent journalism, women’s rights or environmental activities,
  • involve active people from Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Czech Republic, Slovakia and Poland.

Participants of the event will be partly (but not exclusively) representatives of the NGOs, civil initiatives and independent media, which are in some way involved in the program of Czech NGO NESEHNUTI – „The Initiative Way“,

What is a barcamp? You can find more detailed information for example on Wikipedia. It is an event with open and participatory workshops – i.e. open discussions, presentations of interesting projects, programmes, initiatives, sharing information and experience. Several workshops take place at the same time during the event, always in smaller groups to reach better interaction. BarCamp is not only about lectures and presentations, but also about being active and being inspired.

The official languages of the BarCamp are English and Russian with the simultaneous interpreting (to English or Russian).

The participation in the event is free of charge for selected participants.

The organizers provide vegetarian food for the participants during the BarCamp. For the participants from other places than Kutaisi, accommodation will be provided and the travel costs are covered (only public transport: train, bus or marshrutka).

Arrival of the participants: 13th March 2015.

Departure of the participants: 17th March 2015.

We expect the participants to participate in the whole duration of the BarCamp.

For the BarCamp please don’t forget:

  • Comfortable clothing and shoes.
  • Notebook and pen.
  • Promo materials of your organisation (leaflets, brochures, books etc.)
